[symphony in the flint hills]

we watched a rosy sunrise over the plains.
Samantha and I woke up at 4:30 to get ready and go early. We needed to help out setting up the day of, and we got there around 7. I had an amazing time just helping out in the morning and wandering around in the afternoon, watching people trip over the many rocks (haha) and basking in the beautiful day.

these guys sounded amazing :)

this adorable little girl played the part of Martha Jennings, a woman who owned a hotel in the late 1800s/early 1900s? anyway, she'd come and ask you if you wanted to hear a story and then would tell you Martha Jennings story as Martha Jennings. She did a wonderful job :)

just taking pictures of strangers in beautiful light :)

they had wagon rides!! This was taken from the back of the wagon we were riding in.

the symphony begins.

I have to say, this woman fascinated me. She was so beautiful, and the way she talked to the man with her was so sweet.

our boss and his wife. so sweet :)

we watched a rosy sunset over the prairie.

after the symphony we went and watched people dance. it was seriously so much fun to watch, and listen to the music...take pictures.. it was really fun :) watching all the different dynamics among the dancers, from slow dancers to high steppers to jivers to swingers to those slightly (or very) tipsy dancers, it was just really joyous to watch people having fun.

this was my favorite couple. this is how he looked at her.....

....and this is how she looked at him.
